The cube makes a great building block, and a better shelving structure. We’ve seen them before using various materials and even more varied configurations. The Airsquare designed by Oliver Schick in Germany has a cool factor not achieved by the previous versions (with the exception of the Cubitec, but not completely modular).

The cubes are made from compressed foam often used in automobile and aircraft construction for it’s strength and lightweight durability. The Airsquare’s beauty is in the versatility of uses. The obvious use is a shelf, which is a great way to start your Airsquare empire. Each square has hidden knobs for securing them together. Height adjustable powder-coated metal feet level the system on bumpy floors and a metal top combination creates the perfect nightstand or end table.
